Web Folders in Windows Vista

Please follow the steps below to enable access to Web Folders using Windows Vista.

1. First you need to download Web Folders drivers for vista.Please visit http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=17C36612-632E-4C04-9382-987622ED1D64&displaylang=en.

   You should see the following page:

   

2. Press the Download button. You should see the following page:

   

3. Save the file to your local machine.

4. Once downloaded, double-click the file and proceed with the installation.

5. Select Computer from the Start menu.

   

6. Right Click on an empty area on the new window, and select Add a Network Location.

   

7. On the first of a series of "Add Network location" windows, click Next.

   

8. Select "Choose a custom network location" and click Next.

   

9. Enter the URL of the network address and click Next.

   The Network address is as follows:

   https://my.senecacollege.ca:443/bbcswebdav/users/type_your_username_here

   

10. Enter the My.Seneca User Name and Password and click OK.

    

    Note: To maintain security, do NOT check the Remember my Password check box.

11. Provide a Name for the network location.

    This is the name of the folder you will use to access your files.

    

12. Press Finish.
